MCSS is one of few firms certified to access the Nevada Department of Public Safety Civil Name Check System (CNC) when searching crimnal records. A record search through CNC is the only thorough way to conduct a background check of Nevada courts since the court system itself is not electronically accessible for most searches. Only companies physically based in Nevada can apply for this certification and link to this system which is the same one used by law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Nevada.
MCSS holds the State of Nevada background investigations contract (1707) to serve government agencies throughout Nevada. The same high standards of service are applied to all of our non-government clients, large or small.
MCSS is fully compliant with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) when handling client personal data and preparing reports.
MCSS is fully compliant with Nevada Security of Personal Information statute, NRS603A, which regulates the transmission of personal data via e-mail or the internet and sets standards for data encryption.
MCSS maintains a completely paperless, web-based background check system to insure applicant data is protected. Files are stored electronically off site and in a closed system that can only be accessed by the authorized employer and MCSS staff. Applicant data is not shared or sold to any third party for commercial purposes. Each MCSS employee has completed a fingerprint based background check and is registered with the State of Nevada Private Investigator's board before gaining acess to applicant information. MCSS maintains $2,000,000 in professional liability insurance which protects our clients who utilize our services.
MCSS is a member of Concerned CRA's which is an organization of major background screening firms which certify the responsible use of third party criminal databases and refusal to allow "off-shoring" of applicant data to foreign countries for research.
